Abstract
Industrial growth is vital for the rapid economic development of any state, yet Kerala
indicates a low industrial growth and performance, despite showing pre-eminence in all other
aspects. Hence, it is essential to accelerate its industrial growth by investing strategically in the
human resource potential along with streamlining the available infrastructure. The workplace
enthusiasm that creates an ambience for employees to meet each other in the organisation plays
a very important role in lessening work stress, reducing employee absenteeism, increasing employee
satisfaction, improving the commitment of employees to the organization and also to increase
productivity. This paper aims to analyse and compare the after-work amenities or social
infrastructure facilities provided for new employees in the manufacturing and service sector
industries in Kerala. Primary and secondary data were used for the study. The sample size of 405
new employees selected from the manufacturing and service sector industries in Kerala by using
Cochran's formula. For analysing the data, the inferential statistics like one sample t-test,
Independent sample t-test and Confirmatory Factor Analysis were used. The major findings
of the study identified that most of the service sector industries were providing all the after work
facilities when compared with that of the manufacturing sector industries, which provides
a significant insight that the manufacturing industries were backward in providing after work
facilities for their employees and this might be having a direct impact on the high turnover rate.

Abstract
Social and economic inequalities have a long-lasting effect on children's cognitive
and socio-emotional development and educational outcomes. Educational
achievement, and its relationship with socio-economic background, is one of the
enduring issues in educational research. An individual's SES can have a major impact
on their access to education. Higher SES students tend to have better options available.
Education is prioritized in the upper middle and high class since the basic needs of
students (food, shelter, and safety) are easily obtainable and the focus is on education.
However, in lower SES, education might not be prioritized, especially in situations
where students' basic needs are not met easily. Students of lower SES also tend to
have lesser access to different types of education since neighbourhood schools are
limited and the opportunity for education outside their home is not accessible. Students
from lower SES might have less parental support and therefore earn lower grades in
school than their high SES counterparts. The result is cyclical: lower SES students
tend to remain at a lower SES due to limited educational opportunities, while their
higher SES peers tend to remain at a higher SES because of more educational
opportunities. Leveraging education toward career success can help an individual
from a lower SES become part of a higher SES.

Abstract
Unemployment is one of the most painful and vexing concerns that every
economy faces. Unemployment has spread not only among the unskilled but also
among the educated. India, as a youthful country, has a large proportion of its
population that is young, and to fully utilise their potential, we must provide them
with the necessary skills and chances. Entrepreneurship is our most powerful weapon
in combating this issue and empowering our young people. Youth are naturally
energised and empowered, and they are eager to explore new regions and take on
new challenges and risks. The role of government is highly crucial in the development
of entrepreneurship among students. Government can provide a range of policies
and programmes to encourage and assist young people to start businesses. By
withdrawing their position as a job provider, the government should support
students to become self-employed. The government should give opportunities for
creative students to study, cooperate and turn their novel ideas into marketable
products and service prototypes. This study aims to find out whether the role
played by the government is effective in grooming entrepreneurial attitudes among
students in Kerala.
