Publication Ethics of Management Researcher

Management Researcher is the research publication of Institute of Management Development and Research which successfully completed two decades in research publication. It is a double blind peer reviewed journal which agrees upon standards of ethical behaviour for all stakeholders involved in the publishing i.e. the author, the journal editor, the peer reviewer and the publisher. The ethics statements are based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Best Practices Guidelines for Journal Editors.

Management Researcher, which was started in 1994, ensures that reviews are conducted in an objective manner. There shall be no personal criticism of the author. Reviewers are instructed to express their views clearly with supporting arguments. The journal abides by the best practices in publication. The Chief Editor and the Associate Editor may be guided by the policies of the journal's Editorial Board and subjected to such legal requirements regarding libel, copyright infringement and plagiarism.

It also assures equity and excellence in publication. Opportunity is given to all authors in commerce and management areas to get it published in our journal. The manuscripts are evaluated solely on their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.

The ethical policy of the journal ensures the confidentiality of the manuscript. The Chief Editor, the Associate Editor and any editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher.

The Management Researcher also ensures that proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Authors are instructed to cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work. It also ensures that authors have written entirely original works, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others, this must be appropriately cited or quoted. If an author discovers an important mistake in the published work, the author is required to inform the journal editor in order to either correct or withdraw the paper.

Publication Frequency

The Journal frequency is quarterly and publishes 4 issues in a year.

PEER REVIEW POLICY OF MANAGEMENT RESEARCHER

Management Researcher articulates a critical analysis of a manuscript in their specialty by the peer reviewers. All pre reviewers are instructed to provide honest, constructive, careful, justified and positive feedback to the authors. The policy is not to criticize, but to enhance the quality of the research work. The peer reviewer in the respective area of specialisation is instructed to pinpoint the strengths and weaknesses of the article and the areas that could be improved.

Management Researcher being the guardian of the high quality research, always expects the peer reviewers to ensure the trustworthiness and confidentiality of the articles being reviewed by them. This silver jubilee publication always keeps improving the quality of the paper published in our journal, thus increasing the research quality besides enhancing the rating among the publishers

Management Researcher has a transparent policy in reviewing articles received for publication. A double blind peer review process is applicable for our journal and the author is informed about the status of their contribution whether accepted or sent back to them for improvements

As a first step there is an initial screening done in order to check the paper’s theme. Then the paper is reviewed by the Subject Expert and the Editorial Review Members. The journal employs the double-blind peer review process, where both reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the review process. Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Chief Editor decides whether a paper can be accepted or accepted subject to change. If it is found totally unacceptable the article will be rejected.

For papers which have been suggested to modify, the same reviewers will be assessing the resubmitted paper in order to ensure the suggestions are accepted and the paper is revised.

If the paper is accepted by the reviewers, author(s) will be informed by acceptance letter. Author/Corresponding Author will be informed about the possible date of publication.

The entire process takes a maximum of 1-2 months
